Celebration of IEEE Day at Uttara University

IEEE UU Student Branch of Uttara University was celebrated the “IEEE Day 2019” on Tuesday, 1st October 2019. The program was started with the speech session and followed by cake cutting session, technical quiz competition and a grand rally.

Professor Dr. Kazi Khairul Islam, Dean, School of Science & Engineering, Prof. Dr. Mijanur Rahman, Advisor of IEEEUUSB & Chairman, Dept. of CSE, Md. Shahnewaz Khan, Professor(CSE), Dr. Md. Shakowat Zaman Sarker, Advisor of IEEEUUSB & Chairman, Dept. of EEE, Dr. A. H. M. Saifullah Sadi Associate Professor & Coordinator(CSE) and Md. Kamruzzaman, Counselor of IEEEUUSB and Assistant Professor & Coordinator(EEE) were attended in that festival event. Mr. Mahmood Reaz Sunny, Mentor of IEEEUUSB and Senior Lecturer(EEE) presented an informative lecture on IEEE membership benefits. More than 80 students from department of EEE and CSE, celebrate this glorious day with festive mood.

IEEE Day: Celebrating the first time in history when engineers worldwide and IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas in 1884. IEEE Day’s theme is: “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow”. While the world benefits from what’s new, IEEE focuses on what’s next. The celebration of IEEE Day on 1 October 2019 is the 10th year celebrating this historic event!
